TSCS Participates in Sankalp India Foundation’s Celebration of 1,000 Successful BMTs

Sankalp India Foundation, Bengaluru, celebrated the milestone of 1,000 successful Bone Marrow Transplants (BMTs) through the “1000 Beginnings Scientific Meeting: Building the Path to Eliminate Severe Hemoglobin Disorders,” held on 5 September 2026 in Bengaluru.

The event brought together healthcare professionals, patient-support organizations, experts, and stakeholders working towards improving outcomes for individuals living with severe hemoglobin disorders.

Representing the Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society (TSCS), Hyderabad, Dr. Suman Jain, Chief Medical Research Officer and Secretary, Mr. Manoj Rupani, Treasurer, and Dr. Saroja K, Medical Officer, participated in the celebrations.

Dr. Suman Jain delivered an insightful talk on “Value in Blood Services: Are We Investing in the Right Things?”, highlighting the importance of strengthening blood services and ensuring that investments translate into meaningful and sustainable benefits for patients.
