2nd National Conference

Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society (TSCS) Hyderabad organised 2nd National Conference to Combat Thalassemia which was held on 7th October 2023, focusing on the theme, “A Journey towards Awareness, Share, Care, and Cure.”

The 2nd National Conference stands as a testament to the unwavering dedication of TSCS Hyderabad and its partners in the battle against Thalassemia. It not only promotes awareness but also reinforces the importance of sharing knowledge, caring for those affected, and striving for a cure.

The conference attended by experts, patients, caregivers, and medical professionals, all coming together in their unwavering commitment to combat Thalassemia and to raise awareness about this genetic blood disorder. With a central theme of “Aware, Share, Care, and Cure for Thalassemia,” the event was successful with aimed to disseminate knowledge, foster collaboration, and provide hope to those affected with thalassemia.

1st National Conference

Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society organised a First-of-its-kind National Level Conference on Prevention of Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Anemia with an aim of “Thalassemia Free India” on 30th April and 01st May 2022.

Shri T. Harish Rao Garu, Miniter for Finance and Health, Medical & Family Welfare, Government of Telangana inaugurated the conference. An appeal submitted to pass a Government Order(G.O.) to make HbA2 test mandatory for every pregnant woman in the first trimester of pregnancy.

Around 87 NGOs/Societies were participated in this conference and made an appeal to state and central governments to make HbA2 test mandatory for every pregnant woman in the first trimester of pregnancy.
