4,000 Camps and 3 Lakh Units: Rajya Sabha MP Dr. K. Laxman Commends TSCS's Journey

Visit of Dr. K. Laxman, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, to TSCS on the Occasion of 4,000 Voluntary Blood Donation Camps.

Hyderabad, 1st October 2026: The Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society (TSCS) had the privilege of welcoming Dr. K. Laxman, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, to the Vuppala Venkaiah Memorial Blood Centre, on the occasion of the successful completion of 4,000 voluntary blood donation camps organised by TSCS.
The milestone reflects the sustained efforts of TSCS in ensuring a regular and adequate supply of blood for thalassemia and sickle cell patients who depend on regular transfusions for their treatment and well-being.
On this occasion, Dr. K. Laxman felicitated the dedicated staff of the Blood Centre for their commitment and contribution towards achieving this significant milestone. Over the years, the voluntary blood donation programme has enabled TSCS to collect nearly 3 lakh units of blood, making a substantial contribution to the healthcare needs of patients with transfusion-dependent blood disorders.
The occasion was also an opportunity to acknowledge the invaluable contribution of voluntary blood donors, blood donation camp organisers, partner organisations, volunteers and the entire TSCS team, whose collective efforts have helped sustain this life-saving initiative.
