Around 150 students from Osmania University visited the Thalassemia & Sickle Cell Society (TSCS) to participate in a voluntary blood donation drive. During the program, they were educated about Thalassemia, the constant need for safe blood donations, and the vital role voluntary blood donors play in saving the lives of children with Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Disease.
The students were also encouraged to learn their Thalassemia carrier status through HPLC testing, and several of them voluntarily underwent the test. In addition, they were informed about the continuous demand for blood and the importance of becoming regular voluntary blood donors. It was heartening to see many students pledge their commitment to donate blood regularly and support this life-saving cause. A heartfelt thank you to these young changemakers for their enthusiasm, compassion, and willingness to make a difference!
