On the occasion of International Thalassemia Day 2026, the Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society organized a series of impactful awareness and appreciation programs to promote Thalassemia prevention, patient support, voluntary blood donation, and public awareness.
The Thalassemia International Federation (TIF) theme for International Thalassemia Day 2026 is:
“Hidden No More: Finding the Undiagnosed, Supporting the Unseen.”
The theme emphasizes the importance of early diagnosis, carrier screening, timely treatment, and extending support to many patients and families who continue to remain undiagnosed or unnoticed in society. In line with this global message, TSCS conducted various awareness and outreach activities to educate the public and strengthen support for Thalassemia patients and their families.
