Campaign Vikram Raj Varshney

Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society (TSCS) is a registered non-government organization providing services to patients affected with thalassemia and sickle cell anemia. Thalassemia is a genetic blood disorder requiring blood transfusions every 15days lifelong. Over 2700 patients are registered with TSCS with most of them belonging to low socio-economic background. The disease is a big financial and emotional burden on the parents. The treatment costs around Rs. 15000/- every month. Blood, consultation and counseling is given free of cost to all the patients. The society provides to patients not enrolled under Aarogyasree free iron chelating drugs and investigations are done at subsidized rates. As a contribution to their services, I Vikram Raj Varshney would like to raise an amount of Rs.50001/- for these patients by taking up a challenge of 30 push-ups or more and increasing 1 everyday.
